3 robbers loot Rs 2 lakh

KATHUA, Mar 25: Three bike borne robbers looted about Rs two lakh cash from a petrol pump in Chadwal area on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway late last night on gun point and fled away.
According to reports, three masked youth riding on a Pulsar bike entered a petrol pump at NH Chadwal late last night. Among the trio, one biker came down from the two- wheeler with a revolver in his hand. He straightway entered the office of petrol pump where the two employees of the pump including the manager and sales man were sitting.
The biker fired upon them and both sustained serious injuries in their legs and fell down in pool of blood. Later his other two associates also entered the office and decamped with cash from the box and fled towards Kathua side.
The injured employees were identified as Manager of the Pump, Parkash, son of Munish Ram of Nagrota, Billawar and Salesman Hans Raj of village Mera Pati, Mahanpur, Basohli.
Soon after getting the information of the incident, the Chadwal Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital Kathua where from after first aid the injured were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment.
After getting information, SSP Kathua, Shridhar Patil along with other police officers also visited the spot. Kathua Police has launched a manhunt to trace the robbers and it flashed the message to all police stations.
Chadwal Police has also registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigations but till last reports came in the police was unable to get any clue of the robbers.
The local people said that earlier too such incidents took place in the area when either the bikers forcibly filled up the petrol in the two -wheelers from the petrol pumps and fled without paying the money or decamped with cash.
