3 narco smugglers held with poppy straw

JAMMU, Sept 16: Three narcotic smugglers were held along with poppy straw from Jindrah area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka at Jindrah and intercepted three persons.
During checking, police recovered one and half kilograms of poppy straw and arrested trio.
The accused have been identified as Ram Prakash, son of Beli Ram and Rakesh Kumar, son of Harbans Lal, both residents of Rajiv Nagar Jammu and Sanjay Kumar, son of Rattan  Lal of Birpur.
A case under FIR number 116/14 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Police Station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
