SRINAGAR: Three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in the central Kashmir district of Budgam on Monday, official sources said.
They said following a tip off about presence of militants, security forces and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint search operation at Zuhama, Budgam on Monday.
However, when the security forces were moving towards particular area in the village, militants hiding there, fired indiscriminately with automatic weapons.
Security forces also retaliated ensuing in a fierce encounter, they said. They said three militant have been killed in the encounter. (AGENCIES)
