JAMMU, Sept 27:  The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest against reducing of kerosene quota for a BPL family to three litres.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement, criticised the State Government for reducing of kerosene quota for a BPL family to three litres. The protesters were raising slogan against Government and added that it was joke with the poor people.
Dimple alleged that ration card holders were also not getting sugar, atta and rice from the ration depots in time since last three months.
He said first this Government did injustice and decreased the quantity of ration atta of the families. He said 600 gram sugar was being provided to per member of the families and that too was not available on the ration depots for the last three months.
Sunil Dimple urged the CAPD ministry and the BJP-PDP Government that the three litre Kerosene oil to per family is not sufficient as how the people will manage to cook the food?
Dimple demanded to increase the kerosene oil on per ration card to 30 litre per month to each family and sugar at the rate of 20 kg per month per family.
He also criticised the CAPD Director for his failure to check the prices of the vegetables and other edible grocery items. He said CAPD ration is openly being black marketed on the shops of the Jammu city and in far flung area and the consumers are not getting the ration on the depots.
He demanded arrest of the black marketers of the CAPD ration, kerosene oil and LPG in the city and far-flung areas.
