UDHAMPUR, Sept1: Two pedestrians among three persons died in separate road accidents, here today.
According to the police, a pedestrian was crushed to death by a Tanker bearing registration number JK02AU-6249 at By Pass road near Bharat Nagar Udhampur, this evening around 9.30 p.m. The deceased was identified as Bodh Raj (55) son of Mani Ram of Bharat Nagar.
In a similar accident, an unidentified Truck hit an elderly woman pedestrian near IAF Officers Mass, Dhar Road Udhampur. Locals took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared her as brought died. The deceased was identified as Durga Devi (80) wife of Punnu Ram of Tannu in Ramnagar.
In another road accident, a motorcycle rammed into building material mixer on the National Highway near Omara Morh. The motorcyclist, identified as Vimal Kumar (38) son of Paras Ram of Brola in Udhampur, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the District Hospital Udhampur. However, he succumbed to his injuries soon after his admission in the hospital.
