SRINAGAR, Nov 21: The Vigilance Organization Kashmir has booked three engineers of PHE (M&P) Sub-Division, Ist HMT Zainakote, Srinagar for misappropriation of MS pipes amounting to Rs 34,39,141.
A case FIR number 41/2014 P/S VOK has been registered against AEE Rakesh Kumar, JU Syed Ajaz Hussain and JE Danash Ashraf Ghani.
As per the case, the accused officers misappropriated public money in receiving 263.635 Metric Tons of MS Pipes from M/s Dadu Pipes Pvt Ltd, Ghaziabad, during the year 2013-14 at the rate of Rs 51,939 per metric ton. Moreover, AEE Rakesh Kumar was found transferring huge cash from the bank branches nearest to his place of posting to the accounts of his wife and daughter.
