3-day Handball Tournament commences

JAMMU, Feb 9: Three days District Handball Championship began at M A Stadium, here today.
The championship is being organized by the J&K Handball Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.
Ranjit Singh Chib, SP J&K Police and Selector Handball Federation of India was the chief guest on the opening ceremony.
About 120 players of the 8 different Handball clubs of the district Jammu are participating in the tournament.
The matches were officiated by Gaurav Sharma, Kartar Dogra, Dev Raj and Shekhar Dutta.
The 1st match in men’s section was played between RL Pissu Club and Rehari Club in which former defeated latter by 13-7 Goals.
The 2nd match in men’s section was played between Bikram Club and Sandeep Pal Club in which Sandeep Pal Club defeated Bikram Club by 17-4 Goals.
In another match of men’s section, STC defeated Young Hero Club by 14-2 Goals, while in the 4rth match of men’s section Sampark Club defeated Bahu Club by 12-9 Goals.
STC, Sampark Club, Sandeep Pal Club and RL Pissu have sealed berth in the men’s semifinal
In women’s section, Sandeep Pal Club defeated Sampark Club by 11-8 Goals. In second match, Bahu Club defeated Rehar Club by 11-5 goals.
Sandeep Pal Club and Bahu Club have entered into women’s semifinals.
