JAMMU, Oct 1: The CTVS Department of Government Medical College Jammu in collaboration with Vascular Society of India is going to host 25th Annual Conference of Vascular Society of India (VSI) in Jammu city from October 3 to 6 at Hotel Radisson Blu.
“With the theme of mastering the commons expanding the horizons in endovascular interventions, this meeting promises an exciting educational program, a wonderful social experience and a rich academic feast where the eminent faculties are handpicked from India and around the world to lead the scientific journey”, said Dr Arvind Kohli, organizing secretary of the conference, while addressing a press conference at Press Club, here today.
Elaborating more on the conference, Dr Kohli said about 350 plus vascular surgeons across the globe have registered for this mega conference which includes more than two dozen international surgeons from USA, UK, Austria, Singapore and from SAARC countries.
Dr Gurjit Singh (organizing chairman) said that the conference will start with an exciting yet comprehensive CME along with a Hands-on Skill Training where the international faculty members will be teaching the young practitioners. He informed that Lt Gen Bipin Puri, Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services, has consented to be the chief guest of the conference.
Dr Noor Ali (organizing president) said, “From 4th October onwards, we shall start with the scientific session of this annual conference program covering a wide range of topics for vascular and endovascular surgery that will be presented by a diverse panel of distinguished speakers. It will cover the whole spectrum of vascular surgery focusing on new research, clinical advances and current controversies”.
