SRINAGAR: Three children including two siblings were injured in blast in frontier district of Kupwara early today.
Police sources said that the children were injured when an explosive went off as the children were fiddling with it at Kumar Mohalla, Nagri Malpora.
“Whether it was a grenade blast or any other explosive is being ascertained. We have sort an expert opinion on the matter”, a police officer said. He identified the injured as Seema, 15, her brother Azad Kumar, 9, children of Ghulam Nabi Kumar, and Faizan, 7, son of Abdul Rashid Kumar of Sogam, Lolab.
All the three children have been hospitalized. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
