3 arrested with illicit liquor

JAMMU, Apr 16: Police arrested three persons along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, a team from Bishnah Police Station arrested a person along with 5 litres of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Mangal Dass, son of Sardari Lal of Kotli Charka Bishnah. He used to prepare illicit liquor and sale it to people in pouches.
A case under FIR Number 79/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters RC Kotwal.
Meanwhile, police arrested a man along with 37 illicit liquor pouches during checking at Tundwah area, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Dharminder Singh, son of late Nek Chand, a resident of Chanti, Tehsil Gandoh.
A case under FIR Number 75/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post District Hospital Doda SI Ashiq Hussain and SHO Doda Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision DySP Headquarters Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammed Shabir.
Similarly, Arnia police arrested a man along with 4 litres illicit liquor from village Kalyana, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Prem Chand, son of Chuni Lal, a resident of village Kalyana.
A case under FIR Number 35/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Arnia Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Satish Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters RC Kotwal.
