3 arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Jan 12: Trikuta Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three narcotic smugglers and recovered 36 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Trikuta Nagar police station laid a naka and intercepted three pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 36 grams heroin from their possession and arrested them on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Numaid Ahmed of Khanabal, Irfan of Anantnag and Mandeep Singh of Banu Rakh, Kunjwani.
A case under FIR Number 8/17 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against them at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of this consignment.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
