2nd Jeet Kune Do Federation Cup gets underway

SRINAGAR, July 19: The second Jeet Kune Do Federation Cup got underway at S K Indoor Stadium, here today.
Around 400 Martial Art players, including national and international medallists, from 12 states are participating in the Federation Cup, making it one of the bigger national level Martial Art event held in the valley.
The event is being organized by J&K state Jeet Kune Do Association.
Several top players, who have represented their states and country at various national and international events, dazzled the audience with their entertaining demonstrations.
The sword demonstration from Manipur struck a cord with the audience while the fight demonstration by two Kashmiri girl players received huge appreciation from the crowd.
Thanking the national body of Jeet Kune Do for selecting Srinagar to hold the Federation Cup, SMC commissioner Riyaz Ahmad said that such events will help the children of the state to showcase their talent. “I’m also thankful to J&K Jeet Kune Do federation to organize such an amazing event,” he added.
Jeet Kune Do martial arts Federation India General Secretary Sifu Lion Vikas Gihara appreciating the hard work put in by the J&K state Jeet Kune Do association, said that the situation is entirely different from what is shown in the news channels.
