JAMMU, Sept 24: 19-member Jammu and Kashmir Power Lifting team left today for Sub Junior, Junior, Senior and Master (Unequipped) men and women National Power Lifting Championship to be held at Lucknow from September 26 and September 30, 2018.
The Team was selected by All J&K State Power Lifting Association on the basis of recently conducted J&K State Power Lifting Championship.
Before the final selection, the team underwent a Screening Test conducted by J&K Sports Council officials namely Satish Gupta, Manager Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, Jammu and Mr Goutam.
The officials of the Association namely Rahul Sawhney, Senior Vice President, Ajay Sharma, General Secretary and Sanjeev Singh, Joint Secretary were present during the screening of the team.
The team is being accompanied by Ajay Sharma, National Referee Cat-1 and Rahul Sawhney, National Referee Cat-2 as manager and coach respectively.
The team: Women; Radha Kumari, Gurpreet Kour, Surbhi Bali, Malvi Gupta, Monika Sharma, Juhi Gupta, Simran Kour, Balvinder Kour and Upsana Mahajan.
Men: Harshul Sharma, Varun Gupta, Bodh Raj, Dalveer Kumar, Sandeep Singh, Samarjeet, Rajesh Gupta, Udhayveer Singh, Ashraf, Ankit, Jatin, Arjun Saini, Amandeep Bassan, Ajay Jogi, Abhiam Sharma, Roshan Sharma, Rahul Singh, Amandev Singh, Jagbir Singh and Vikramjeet Singh.
