JAMMU, Dec 11: Jammu and Kashmir Volleyball Association is holding the 3-day 25th Volleyball Championship for boys and girls from December 15, 2012 at MA Stadium, here.
According to Kuldeep Magotra, general secretary J&K Volleyball Association, 24 teams comprising of 300 spikers from various districts of the State are expected to take part in the Championship.
He said the event shall be declared open at 11 am December 15 at the volleyball courts of MA Stadium, adding that the participating teams would be from the districts of Poonch, Rajouri, Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Ramban, Baramulla, Pulwama, Srinagar, Budgam and Anantnag.
“After the State Championship, both the boys and the girls teams will be selected for the upcoming 39th Junior National Volleyball Championship to be held at Sri Dongargarh, Bikaner in Rajasthan from December 22 to December 28, 2012,” Magotra further said.
