25th State Football C’ship gets underway

JAMMU, Feb 25: 25th State Football Championship, being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) got underway at GGM Science College, here today.
In the first match, Param Football Club defeated DFA Kulgam by two goals to one (2-1), while in second match, DFA Kathua got better of Pattan Zone XI via tie-breaker and in the 3rd match, DFA Kupwara defeated DFA Ramban by three goals to two (3-2) in a close contest.
In the 4th match of the day, Musa Club Jammu drubbed DFA Shopian XI by two goals to nil (2-0), while in the last match of the day Churchill Brothers prevailed over DFA Ladakh by a solitary goal (1-0)
6 matches will be played tomorrow. A total of 45 matches will be played among 46 Clubs in the Championship.
