25 CRPF personnel awarded for central Kashmir encounter

SRINAGAR, July 26:  Twenty-five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, who were part of operation launched jointly along with other security agencies in central Kashmir district of Badgam, were awarded commendation letters.
Three militants of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), including Sajjad Najar who was involved in Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Ayub Pandit’s killing, were shot dead during the encounter during the intervening night of July 11 and 12 at Radbuh, Badgam.
CPRF spokesman Commandant Rajesh Yadav said that Inspector General (IG), Srinagar sector, Ravideep Singh Sahi, felicitated 25 personnel of Sector Quick Action Team of CRPF for their exemplary dedication to the duty and courage during the encounter at Radbug, Budgam in which three militants were killed.
The IG gave away his commendation letter to the troops in an investiture ceremony organised at Sector Headqurters today. He lauded the operational excellence and accomplishment of troops and expected that the Sector QAT will continue to live up to expectation of the Force in the service of the nation.
