23 bovine animals seized

JAMMU, May 2: The police seized  23 bovine animals from Rajouri and Samba area and  seized a vehicle while the smugglers managed to escape during last night.
Reports from Rajouri said that  police party led by SHO Rajouri Chaman Gorkha intercepted a vehicle  at Aitti village near Darhali bridge last night and seized eight bovine animals. The two bovine smugglers jumped from the vehicle and escaped.  The police seized vehicle No. JK02X/ 3685  and registered a case in this connection.
In  yet another naka by police under the supervision of ASP Nowshera Atul Sharma, in Solki area of Dharamsal, the police seized six bovine animals during mid night. The two smugglers who were on foot however, managed to escape. They had to load the cattle in the vehicle parked away from the naka point. The police claimed to have identified the smugglers.
Five  bovine animals were seized by another police party at Salyari in Sunderbani area last night. The smugglers were crossing naka point along with cattle on foot. The police had information and the Tata Mobile also crossed that naka point about half an hour earlier.  The police seized the cattle but two smugglers managed to slip away. The police identified them as Mohd Sultan and Showkat, residents of Salyari village.
Meanwhile, Ramgarh police party led by SHO Ajit Singh in Samba district during naka at Raika Morh intercepted a Mohindra vehicle without number plate and found five bovine animals loaded in it last night. The police seized the cattle and vehicle but driver managed to jump away. The police has registered a case in this connection.
