21st J&K State Taekwondo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Jan 21: 21st J&K State Taekwondo Championship 2019 concluded at Brahman Pratinidhi, Sabha, here today.
The event was organized by J&K Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI), recognized by Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
14 Districts and two of the Professional teams AITA (Atul’s International Taekwondo Academy) and SAI-SAG, Kargil participated in the Championship.
All the aspiring medallists from all the districts took part in the event.
The event was designed and proposed by the technical committee of J&K Taekwondo Association under the supervision of DN Pangotra (Acting President, TFI).
On the closing ceremony, one of the professional demonstration team of state “SAI-SAG, Kargil” showcased demo skills.
District Jammu was declared as the overall champion, while District Samba and SAI-SAG, Kargil shared 1st and second runners-up respectively.
MLC Vikram Randhawa was the chief guest, while Mohammad Ali Majaz, President BJP Kargil was the guest of honour.
Mr Randhawa (MLC) while felicitating the medallists, lavished praise on them and the Association for holding this mega event.
Shubash Shastri, President NMC was the special guest, while BS Jamwal, retired Deputy Commissioner was also present on the occasion.
Later on the ceremonial stage was joined by Atul Pangotra (Referee chairman TFI) and other technical officials.
