UDHAMPUR, Feb 3: Chenani Police foiled three major attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued 21 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
Acting on reliable information, a Police team from Police Station Chenani laid a surprise nakas at three points under the supervision of SHO Inspector Pardeep Gupta.
The Police teams intercepted three vehicles of Tata Mobile, bearing registration No. JK02AJ-4656, JK02BK-1966 and JK03F-1363, which were on way towards Kashmir. During thorough search, the vehicles were found loaded with 21 bovine animals, which were rescued. Police also seized all three vehicle and arrested their driver, namely Amzad Husan of Rathian Udhampur, Mohamed Yunis of R.S Pura Jammu and Tahil Husan of Kokernag Kashmir.
A case under section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chenani.
