JAMMU, May 28: The activists of Pradesh Youth Congress today held protest demonstration against the Modi led Government at the centre which has completed two years of its existence.
In connection with the on-going campaign being launched by the Congress Party to highlight the alleged failures of two years tenure of NDA regime headed by Narendra Modi, PYC under the leadership of State president, Pranav Shagotra organised a massive demonstration against anti-people policies of the BJP led NDA Government at the Centre.
PYC activists shouted slogans against the NDA Government and regretted that two years tenure of the Narendra Modi Government was completely dis-appointing and disgraceful. They said that except promises nothing has been done on the ground and problems of the common people have compounded during the last two years.
Addressing the party workers, PYC State president, Pranav Shagotra chided BJP workers for celebrating two years of NDA Government. He said that there is nothing to celebrate about two year performance of NDA Government because this regime has only befooled the people by making false promises.
“Two years of Modi Government will be considered as most disgraceful years in the history of India because nationalist forces are being humiliated by this regime”, he said and mentioned two terror attacks in different parts of the country during the last two years. Treatment meted out to non-local students of NIT Srinagar has exposed pseudo nationalism of BJP Government”, he recalled and regretted that BJP and its sister organisations had shamelessly abandoned those nationalist students of NIT Srinagar, who had dared to raise national flag on the campus.
“Two years are enough for any Government to show its achievements, on the basis of what was promised in election manifesto and during election campaign, and that is the yardstick, and they have set their own goals and targets. Now, if we see one by one regarding the promises made, what happened on black money, price rise of essential commodities and about promised employment?” he asked.
