JAMMU, Aug 4: A 2-year-old child was today crushed to death by a school bus in Gangyal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a two-year-old child identified as Ayaan Bakshi, son of Anil Bakshi, resident of Bakshi Colony, Bandhu Rakh, tehsil Bishnah, suddenly came under the wheels of a private school bus (bearing registration number JK02V-4976) in front of his house when the bus had came there to drop his brother.
“The child was killed on the spot and his body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting post-mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, the spokesman said.
He said a case in this connection was registered at police station Gangyal and the accused driver identified as Tirth Ram son of Bindru Ram, resident of Pandorian (Bishnah) arrested.
