SRINAGAR: In a step towards successful implementation of cashless monetary system in the State, two villages in south Kashmir are leading with an example by going cashless to beat cash crunch.

An official spokesperson here today said Bonigam in south Kashmir has become first village of Kulgam to go cashless with active efforts of CSC e-governance State team, who trained 705 persons of the village to use Digital Payments and Transaction systems.

He said the village which lies on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway with 350 households took lead in the district to successfully implement cashless monetary system and e-governance programme. ”State Project Manager CSC-e-governance, VLEs and other concerned were present on the occasion,” he said.

Meanwhile, Manzigam has become first village of south Kashmir district of Anantnag to go cashless. He said the CSC e-governance State team trained the residents about the use of various Digital Payment Systems, enabling them to avail benefits of cashless economy. (AGENCIES)
