2 notorious burglars nabbed, stolen gold worth Rs 3 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Mar 17: Gangyal police under Operation Meghdoot arrested two notorious burglars and recovered stolen gold worth Rs 3 lakh from their possession.
As per police sources, on November 13, 2016, a written complaint was lodged by Moti Lal, son of Raj Nath, a resident of Gangyal with police station Gangyal stating that some unidentified persons barged into his house and decamped with 15 tolas gold, Rs 4,000 cash and a laptop.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 100/16 was registered at Gangyal police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
During the course of investigation, several persons were detained and two of them broke down and confessed to commit the crime.
The accused have been identified as Tushar Sharma, son of Kamal Sharma and Dinesh Kumar, son of Madan Lal, both residents of Kunjwani. On their disclosure, stolen gold worth Rs 3 lakh and a laptop were recovered.
With the arrest of these notorious burglars, Gangyal police also worked out two theft cases registered under FIR Numbers 18/17 and 136/16.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary and assisted by SHO Gangyal Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
