JAMMU, Nov 2: Close on the heels of recoveries made from a thief at Channi Himmat within 24 hours of the theft, City South police today worked out two more thefts committed under the jurisdiction of Gangyal and Trikuta Nagar police station and recovered large quantity of stolen items including golden ornaments and cash.
SP City South Sandeep Choudhary told the Excelsior that a theft case was reported at Police Station Gangyal on September 11, 2017 by one Tarlochan Singh, a resident of Model town Gangyal, He reported that cash worth Rs 22000 and gold ornaments were stolen from his house when none was present. In this connection a case FIR No. 66/17 under Sections 457 and 380 RPC was registered at Gangyal police station.
Second theft case was registered at Trikuta Nagar police station.

SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta supervised the operations to arrest thieves and work out the case.
Choudhary said that both the cases of theft have been solved. Two teams led by SDPO South Rafiq Manhas and SDPO East Arun Jamwal investigated and worked out both the cases.
Police station Gangyal apprehended three thieves including Talwinder Singh alias Tannu S/o Gurjeet Singh R/o Sec No, 2 Model Town, Gangyal, Gurveer Singh S/o Harbhajan Singh R/o Digiana Ashram and Kuldeep Singh alias Kaka S/o Mangal Singh R/o H No 120 Sector No.6 Model Town, Gangyal.
During interrogation they confessed their involvement and on their disclosure stolen gold ornaments weighing 10.03 tolas, one LCD Samsung, one stabilizer and Camera Stand, have  been recovered in theft case of Gangyal police station.
During further interrogation, stolen property including seven LPG cylinders, two motorcycles and a battery were recovered.
Choudhary said more recoveries are expected during sustained questioning of the thieves. Arrests were made by S.I Nayat Ali, SHO Gangyal and SI Vijay Sharma, Incharge Police Post Greater Kailash.
In the Trikuta Nagar case, team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Parvez Sajad and SI Vikram Manhas, Incharge Police Post Narwal, arrested Ganesh Kumar S/o Sukh Sagar and Abhay Singh S/o Somveer. Further on their disclosure Rs 3,12,300 worth cash and 3 mobile phones worth Rs 30,000 were recovered.
