KISHTWAR, Mar 25: Two minor girls were killed due to landslide, while two others had narrow escape in Barnadi Sigdi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chatroo police station.
As per police sources, four minor girls had gone to graze their cattle in Barnadi Sigdi area, when a landslide hit two girls, killing them on the spot, while two other girls escaped unhurt.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals retrieved the bodies from the debris.
The deceased have been identified as Sameena Bano (15), daughter of Mohammad Amin Gujjar and Begha Banoo (15), daughter of Abdullah Gujjar, both residents of Barnadi Sigdi.
After completing legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to family members for last rites.
Chatroo police has taken cognizance in this regard.
