POONCH, Dec 28: Two villages in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch area are without electricity for the last few weeks.
Reports said that Kallar Morha in Mendhar is without electricity for the last about one month. The transformer which went out of order about a month back, could not be restored till date. The general public is suffering badly. The villagers have urged upon the higher authorities in the PDD to restore the power supply.
The people from Gursai area are also facing lot of hardships due to damage caused to the PDD transformer. The villagers alleged that power supply has been snapped for the last five days and the PDD staff has failed to restore power. They urged upon the Chief Engineer PDD, M&RE Jammu and the Power Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh to intervene and restore power supply.
