2 mechanics arrested with stolen cash within 24 hrs

JAMMU, Feb 17: Akhnoor police arrested two mechanics and recovered stolen cash worth Rs 4,82,680 within 24 hours.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was lodged by Ankush Dubey, son of Kushal Chand Dubey of Manda, tehsil Akhnoor with police station Akhnoor stating that some unidentified persons had stolen cash worth Rs 4,48,680 from his automobiles agency namely “Kushal Automobiles” located at Mawa Karora Jourian Road.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 29/17 under Section 457 and 380 RPC was registered and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police picked up two suspects working in the same automobile agency as mechanics, who broke down and confessed to commit the theft.
The accused have been identified as Rinku Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Chakkad and Aman Kumar, son of Bodh Raj of Goshan. Stolen cash has been recovered on the disclosure of the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
