UDHAMPUR, Nov 14: In yet another road accident due to negligent driving, two persons died and 25 others got injured when a passenger bus rolled down into a deep gorge at village Jandhrore, near Ramnagar, here today.

The bus was on its way from Ghordi to Chowki when it met with the accident at village Jandhrore around 4.30 pm. Two of the passengers succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to hospital while others are undergoing treatment at Sub-District Hospital Ramnagar, District Hospital Udhampur and GMC Jammu.
The deceased were identified as Sukh Ram (74), son of Fisro Ram of Birnoo and Pushpa Devi (70), wife of Purku of Jandrore.
According to the reports, the bus bearing registration number JK02T-1857 was being driven by its Conductor who lost control over the vehicle, which rolled down around 70 feet deep. Both driver and the conductor managed to flee after the accident.
Police team, led by SHO Ramnagr Sanjay Raina and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where 11 of them were referred to District Hospital Udhampur in view of their critical injuries. Two of the critically wounded succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to Udhampur Hospital.
Two other injured have been further referred to GMC Hospital Jammu and other to Military Hospital Udhampur, police said.
The injured, under going treatment at different hospitals, were identified as Shankri Devi (72), wife of Ambo of Surni, Rakesh Kumar (18), son of Om Prakash of Nalla Mallian, Vinod Kumar (12) son of Shankro Ram of Nalla Mallian, Rekha Rani (20) daughter of Om Prakash of Nalla Mallian, Pooja Devi (22) wife of Rajinder Singh of Prey, Shoba Devi (16) daughter of Thakur Dass of Nalla Mallian, Rahul (14) son of Kaku Ram of Nalla Mallian, Usha Devi (15) daughter of Kikro of Nalla Mallian, Bandana daughter of Bodh Raj of Prey, Shivani Devi (11) daughter of Mohan Lal of Birno, Kalsh Devi (45) wife of Mohan Lal of Birno, Shakuntla Devi (45) wife of Suram Chand of Sullan, Mohan Lal (49) son of Chalro Ram of Birno, Ram Paul (25) son of Om Prakash of Suri, Naresh Kumar (19) son of Ravi Kumar of Prey, Kuldeep Kumar (42) son of Krich Chand of Jandrore, Ranjit Singh (20) son of Karnail Singh of Rassain, Kaushalya Devi (66) wife of Dev Raj of Prey, Hem Raj (68) son of Chandu Ram of Jandrore, Usha Devi (25) wife of Subash Chander of Sullan, Santosh Kumari (52) wife of Yashwant Singh of Nalla Mallian, Prem Nath (45) son of Rolo Ram of Surni, Prem Chand (24) son of Gopi of Nalla Mallian, Vijay Kumar (34) son of Hukam Chand of Nalla Mallian, Ajit Kumar (40) son of Gian Chand of Dalsar.
Meanwhile, in another road mishap, a scooterist was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle at Tikri, last night. The deceased was identified as Kanu (24), son of Nek Ram of Jhajjar Kotli. He reportedly died on the spot.
