2 killed, 2 injured in road accidents

POONCH, Dec 11: Two persons were killed while two others seriously injured in two separate road accidents in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that private water tanker No. JK02H/ 2455, engaged with an Army unit was rolled down into a gorge in Upper Dabraj area of Balnoi, resulting into the death one person and serious injuries to the two others including its driver. The mishap took place at around 3 pm when the water tanker which was on way to a forward Army location, went out of control and rolled down into a deep gorge.
While one Imtiaz Ahmed (40), son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Dabraj was killed on the spot, driver Arfat Ahmed (21), son of Ghulam Hussain of Balnoi and another villager Mohd Kabir, son of Mohd Sharief from Balnoi were seriously injured. While the dead body of the deceased was later shifted to Mankote hospital, the seriously injured driver Arfat with fractured backbone and one Mohd Kabir were removed to SDH Mendhar and then referred to GMC hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Another report said that a youth, Rakesh Kumar, son of Lok Nath, resident of Magnad was killed when a tractor trolley rolled down into a gorge in Magnad area of Poonch today. He was all alone driving tractor trolley when the mishap occurred. The dead body was shifted to Poonch hospital and later handed over to the family.
