RAJOURI, Dec 5: Two persons were killed while another critically injured in two separate road accidents in Nowshera area of district Rajouri today.
Police sources said that a youth was killed while another seriously injured when their bike was hit by a passenger bus No. JK02BK/ 0994 near Nowshera this afternoon. While Mohd Zuber, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Dandesar village was crushed to death on the spot under the front wheel of the bus, his associate was thrown away and received serious injuries. The police reached the spot immediately but the driver of the bus jumped away immediately after the accident and escaped.
The police shifted the dead body and injured Raza Murad, son of Mohd Ishaq to Nowshera hospital. Critically injured Murad was later referred to GMC&H, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, a truck driver was killed when his vehicle No. JKO2F/ 8557 was turned turtle in Nowshera area last mid night. The police his dead body to the mortuary of Nowshera hospital during wee hours today. He was later identified as Sarwar Ahmed, son of Fazal Ahmed, resident of Darhal Malikan.
