2 held with illicit liquor pouches

SAMBA, July 14: Supwal police today arrested two persons and recovered 32 pouches of J&K Excise from their possession.
Police said based on the reliable information, about the selling of illicit liquor near the Railway Line Nanak Chack Samba, a Police Party of PP Supwal led by IC PP Supwal SI Neeraj Ramotra immediately swung into action and organized a naka in Nanak Chack area and succeeded in arresting two drug peddlers Naresh Kumar S/o Guddu Ram R/o Chack Manga, Samba and Surinder Kumar S/o Kanthu Ram R/o Budhwani Samba and recovered 32 nips/pouches of J&K Excise from their possession.
The duo was arrested from the spot and the illegal consignment of liquor was seized. The naka was conducted under the supervision of Dy. SP Headquarters Samba and overall supervision of Anil Magotra, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba. In this connection a case FIR No. 144/2017 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered in P/S Samba and investigation taken up.
