KATHUA, Mar 25: Ramkot police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 280 grams cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramkot Police Post laid a naka near Challan Chowk and intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK14F-2822.
During checking, police team recovered 280 grams cannabis from the possession of two persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nesh Kumar, son of Uttam Chand of Dhamma Tehsil Majalta and Rahul Sharma, son of Mohan Lal of Jagwal, Tehsil Majalta.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Billawar and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Ramkot Police Post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Billawar Inspector Vijay Sharma, SDPO Billawar Ravinder Singh, SP Kathua Ramnish Gupta and SSP Kathua Shridhar Patil.
