SAMBA, Dec 30: Vijaypur police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered large quantity of intoxicant capsules from their possession.
As per police spokesman, on reliable information, a team from Vijaypur Police Station laid a naka at Rahya Morh on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway and apprehended two drug peddlers along with 1033 intoxicant capsules.
The accused have been identified as Mehtab, son of Khalil ul Rehman and Nadeem, son of Zahid Hussain, both residents of Uttar Pradesh and presently residing in Jakh.
A case under FIR Number 168/17 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Vijaypur Inspector Suraj Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of Abisheik Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur and Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
