SRINAGAR, Jan 7: Bandipora police arrested two drug peddlers in two separate incidents and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from their possession.
A police party from Sumbal arrested two drug peddlers identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Chek Ganstan and Irshad Ahmad Reshi, son of Mohammad Maqbool Reshi, resident of Arampora, Sumbal. 150 grams of Charas, 29 kilograms of Bhang Patri and 55 bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from their possession. These drugs were meant to be distributed among the local youth of the area.
Accordingly a case FIR number 05/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act and 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation was taken up.
