JAMMU, Aug 9: To showcase wide ranging capabilities of Indian Army, a Weapon and Equipment Display is being organized at Zorawar Auditorium, Jammu University on August 10-11, 2017, under the aegis of Tiger Division.
The display aims to motivate local youth of Jammu to join the Army and highlight the contributions of the organization in nation building.
According to a Defence spokesman, the Weapon & Equipment Display, spread over two days, presents a wide range of small arms, Artillery Guns, Armoured vehicles, Communication setup and other specialist equipment, which will kindle patriotic fervor and pride amongst the youth and motivate them for serving the nation. It will go a long way towards educating the youth about the most capable and relevant instrument of comprehensive ‘National power’.
A large number of students from schools and colleges of Jammu and NCC Cadets are expected to attend the display. A detailed information regarding various entry schemes to join Indian Army is also being provided to the students during the display through a counseling counter.
