2-day Multi Specialty Health checkup camp by VKPS begins at Jagti

JAMMU, Dec 16: Vishwa Kashmiri Pandit Samaj, (VKPS), Team Jammu, Global Solace (NGO) and Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society in association with Medanta Hospital (Medicity) today organized two day Mega Multi Speciality Health checkup camp at Jagti township near Nagrota.
The camp is being organized and held in the campus of Hospital Jagti where doctors and staff lend helping hand to the camp organizers.
Seventeen doctors from across the country undertook health checkups of about 1500 patients from Jagti township and other localities in Jammu.
Such event was held for the first time in Jagti where over 17 doctors of different specialties reached out to the displaced population.
The camp is being organized by head of the Vishwa Kashmiri Pandit Samaj,                    Kiran Wattal and his team in collaboration with Team Jammu headed by Mr. Zoravar Singh Chairman, Team Jammu, Pintoo Ji Global Solace, NGO and Rajeesh Gupta and Patron Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society.
A large number of Jagti residents who included women & children participated, besides prominent personalities from all political parties and social activists were present.
Kiran Wattal in his welcome address expressed his commitment to organize such medical camp to help humanity and health hazardous of displaced people. He further said, such camps shall be held also in near future in Jammu and around.
Kiran Wattal made a demand to Centre Government and State Government for providing a Group Health Insurance Policy to Displaced Pandits to mitigate their critical disease. The policy should be tailor made which will cover hospitalization and domiciliary treatments, for which  Juggal Kishore (MP) assured to take up the matter with concerned ministry at Delhi.
The dignitaries who were present in the event were, Juggal Kishore (MP),  Sukhnandan Choudhary (M.L.A),Ashok Khajuria (M.L.C), Balbir Singh, (M.L.C), Ghulam Hassan Mir (Ex-Minister),.Kuldeep Khoda (Rtd. D.G.P), Dr. Susheel Razdan (Neurologiost), Abdul Majeed (Secretary to Government. Law Department),Dr.Rashid (Information Department), M.L. Raina (Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner), Brig.(retd) Anil Gupta BJP Spokesperson,, Dr.Jasbir Singh (Retd. Director Health Services, GMC), Dr. Khajuria (Ex-Adm, GMC), Hira Lal Abrol (Chairman, Healthy India Strong India),  Swami. Kumar Ji. Besides, social activists and leaders of various political parties also participated. They included Ashok Sidha, M.K.Yogi, Anil Dhar, M.K.Jalali, Aryan Romesh and Rohit Bhat.
