KATHUA, Jan 21: The two day State Executive meeting of Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) begins here today with party giving a clarion call to people to vote for India and give it 272 plus seats in coming Lok Sabha elections to have Narendra Modi as future Prime Minister.
The Executive meet, which was preceded by State office bearers meeting was inaugurated by BJP State president, Jugal Kishore Sharma this afternoon.
The prominent BJP leaders who attended the SE meet included Leader of BJP Legislative Party, Ashok Khajuria, former State president and national executive member, Dr Nirmal Singh, former State president, Shamsher Singh Manhas, national executive member and chief spokesperson of the State, Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP organizational general secretary, Ashok Kaul, vice presidents, Chander Parkash Ganga, Suresh Jamwal party general secretaries, Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat and Rajiv Jasrotia, BJP cells incharge Sat Sharma, CA, incharge Jammu Poonch Parliamentary seat, Yudhvir Sethi, district president, Kathua and Vijay Sharma, MLAs Ch. Sukhnandan, Ch. Shyam and Durga Dass, Morcha presidents and other office bearers.
In his address Jugal Kishore Sharma asked the party men to redouble their efforts in ensuring the target of 272 plus seats in the Lok Sabha elections so that Narendra Modi is crowned as next PM of this nation.
He said BJP workers have to act with utmost responsibility as the country is passing through a crucial phase and facing many challenges ahead. “Only a strong Government led by Mr Modi can steer the country ahead. It can’t only over come the challenges and rid the nation of the prevailing crisis but make a strong India which people have been cherishing for years,” he added.
Ashok Kaul in his address informed the partymen about the guidelines of High Command regarding the coming Lok Sabha elections to achieve the target of 272 plus seats and Modi for PM.
The meeting also chalked out the future strategy regarding the elections and booth level meetings.
The two days meet will give main focus on the strategy to be followed during forthcoming elections and main issues to be taken to the people during campaigning.
On the concluding day tomorrow the party will adopt a political resolution, which will be followed by agenda for election campaign.
