2 arrested for smuggling bovines

JAMMU, Aug 9: Miran Sahib Police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ arrested two persons for smuggling bovine animals.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AV-9681.
During checking, police rescued 20 cattle from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Jagmohan Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Darup Satwari and Mohammad Aslam, son of Mohammad Guddu of Muralian.
A case under FIR Number 113/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh and Incharge Kullian Police Post Yougal Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of Sourabh Prashar, SDPO RS Pura and RC Kotwal, SP Headquarters Jammu.
