UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Udhampur police today rescued 19 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers besides seizure of the truck, in which these animals were being transported to Kashmir.
Acting on specific information, a police party from PS Udhampur laid surprise naka near Jakhani and intercepted the truck bearing registration number HP38C-7349, which was on way towards Kashmir.
During thorough search, the vehicle was found loaded of 19 bovine animals, which were rescued. Police also seized the vehicle and arrested its driver and an associate, identified as Muzfar Shah and Miay of Belicharana.
A case FIR no 114/2017 under section 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
