166 Bn CRPF organizes Volleyball Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 23: Jammu (Sidhra) based, 166 Bn CRPF organized a Civic Action Programme which concluded today at the Majheen locality of Sidhra, here.
In the two days programme, a Volleyball tournament was organized wherein 8 teams of Jammu region participated. The final match was played between Satish Volleyball Club and Gurgi Club in which Satish Volleyball Club lifted the winners trophy by defeating Gurgi Club by 30-29, 16-25 & 25-19.
Earlier, in the welcome speech, Ashish Kumar Jha, Commandant 166 Bn CRPF highlighted the purpose of such Civic Action Programmes so organized by CRPF in every part of the country particularly in J&K region.
Devender Singh Rana, MLA Nagrota was the chief guest on this occasion. He appreciated the role of the CRPF and the relations of the Force with the people of the State and their contribution towards noble deed.
He further appreciated the duties of the Force and explained that CRPF is playing very vital role in maintaining Law and Order in the Country.
He also handed over newly constructed toilet and 40 desks to Devender Singh, Headmaster of Govt Middle School, Majheen, Sidhra under Civic Action Programme organized by 166 Bn, CRPF.
In his speech he appreciated the work under Civic Action programme of 166 Bn and praised for co-cordial relations of the unit with the civil public in the area.
Sham Chand, DIG, CRPF, Jammu Range highlighted the role of CRPF and the dedication towards serving the society in the interest of the nation.
