15 more dengue cases reported

JAMMU, Nov 13: Fifteen more dengue cases have been reported in the State in last one week, thereby raising the overall number to 184.
“So far, 184 cases of dengue have been reported this year across the State out of which 110 alone have been reported from Jammu district”, a Health official said. He said Jammu district is followed by Kathua district with 30 Dengue cases, Samba with 17 cases, Udhampur with 5 cases while 4 cases have been reported from Reasi, two from Kashmir and Rajouri, three from Poonch and other states and seven from unknown addresses.
He said out of 15 fresh cases, 8 have been reported from Jammu, three from Samba, 1 each from Udhampur and Poonch and 2 from unknown addresses. According to the official, a total of 1436 patients have been tested for dengue till today out of which 184 cases have been found positive while reports of 1252 are negative. “No death has been reported due to Dengue so far in the State”, he added.
He further revealed that out of these 184 dengue patients, 114 were males and 70 females. “Most of the patients affected with the disease have returned to their homes after successful treatment”, he added.
