14th Annual Day celebrations conclude at Heritage School

JAMMU, Oct 23: The 14th Annual Day celebrations of Heritage School Jammu which had begun on October 22, 2018 concluded with gaiety and fervour at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here today.
Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu graced the occasion as the chief guest and Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu was the guest of honour.
The event was also graced by the presence of distinguished guests the MLAs Devender Singh Rana and Mumtaz Ahmed, besides Tseten Namgyal and Deepak Choudhary.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp to invoke the blessings of the almighty. Head girl of the school Ishmeet Kour extended a warm welcome to the august gathering.
‘Dare to Dream’- a musical extravaganza showcased how humble beginnings combined with diligence and persistence can catapult a person to great success. Pique of the day was the Prize Distribution Ceremony by Devender Singh Rana during which the meritorious students were felicitated for their hard work and dedication. Ritik Deep, Amay Sharma, Diya Gupta, Aarush Gupta, Supreet Singh and Arnav Raina were declared All Rounders from classes VI to VIII session 2017-18 for setting high standards of achievements in both scholastics and co-scholastic activities. Atharav Dabgotra and Aryan Chandan were awarded with the special commendation trophies for their outstanding performance in Inter School MUN competitions while Diya Gupta was acknowledged for winning first prize in Inter School debate competition.
Another proud moment of the day was felicitation of Rudra Kohli who has been part of various plays staged by National School of Drama. He has also participated in various Theatre festivals organized by NSD and Sangeet Natak Kala Academy. 12 Students who excelled in various sports activities at state level and represented J&K at national level were awarded medallions by Mumtaz Ahmed, MLA.
Finally vote of thanks was presented by Principal Jagdish Singh Dhami.
