JAMMU, Jan 23: Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar today said that 146 Higher Secondary Schools have been notified as Chief Minister’s Model Schools in various districts of the State and the scheme was launched last year.
Replying to a question by Yash Pal Sharma in the Legislative Council, the Education Minister said the infrastructure of model schools is being developed in a phased manner.
He said these model schools have been adopted by the legislators, corporate bodies, banks as well as universities.
The Minister said the funds are provided under state Capex Budget and for the current financial year an amount of Rs 4 lakh each has been provided these model schools. (AGENCIES)
