14 CRPF DAGOs call on IGP

JAMMU, July 9: Fourteen (DAGOs) Directly Appointed Gazetted Officers (Assistant Commandants) of CRPF of different States of the country called on Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Dr SD Singh, here today.
During interaction, IGP briefed the officers about the functioning of police in Jammu Zone and close cooperation which exists between J&K Police, CPMFs, army and intelligence agencies while dealing with challenges of militancy in the State. IGP Jammu also highlighted the great work CRPF is doing in Jammu for maintaining peace and law and order in the region.
On border management, IGP gave detailed briefing to the officers with regard to situation which has emerged due to continuous ceasefire violation on International border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) and problems being faced by the police and civil administration in dealing with it.
The officers were also apprised about the measures being taken to strengthen the anti infiltration grid on IB and LoC in border districts of Jammu Zone.
