137 Bn CRPF celebrates Raising Day

UDHAMPUR, July 27: 137 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated its 14th Raising Day in a befitting manner here last evening.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF, Jammu Range, Parveen Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIG complemented the officers and jawans and extended his best wishes to them. He applauded the performance of the participants, saying each performance was elegant, scintillating and breath taking and captivated the audience.
Earlier, a scintillating cultural bonanza was also organized by the Battalion in collaboration with Mukti Youth Club (MYC), Udhampur and Dhoom Academy Of Dance (DAOD). The cultural items were so tastefully presented by the jawans of CRPF and artists of MYC and DAOD that these received repeated applause from the audience.
Punjabi and Haryanvi folk songs presented by CRPF Punjabi Singer, Kamal Jeet Kamal, Bhangra by jawans, solo songs presented by Heer, Sushma, Sheetal, Ajay, Amit, Suraj and Banasree Sarkar were the main attraction of the programme.
Later, Bara Khana was also organized in which officers, jawans and their family members participated.
The proceedings of cultural programme were conducted by Assistant Commandant, 137 Bn CRPF, SS Gujjar.
Among others, Commandant, 137 Bn CRPF, Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Commandants, Anil Shekhawat and Gursharn Singh, Assistant Commandants, RD Souren, KP Sudha and Puneep Bhardwaj, Dr Bano Partap Singh from 137 Bn Udhampur, Inspectors, Khushi Ram and Rajinder Singh and ASI Balvinder Singh attended the function.
