SAMBA, Oct 18:As a part of continuous drive launched against the habitual offenders/notorious criminals/gamblers by the District Police Samba under the directions of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra, a police party of PS Ramgarh headed by SI Bansi Lal, SHO Ramgarh in close coordination with district Special Branch Samba under the supervision of Abhishek Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur conducted a raid at village Swankha today and nabbed seven gamblers.
They included Gara Ram son of Chaman Lal, Swarn son fo Bhag Singh, Rashpal Singh son of Raj Singh, Nasib Chand son of Bhoulu Ram, Bodh Raj son of Gathi Ram, Madan Lal son of Gyan Chand and Naresh Kumar son of Koushal Chand all residents of Swankha and recovered stake money of Rs 3690/- along with playing cards from their possession. All of them were booked under Section 13 Gambling Act.
In another incident, a police party of P/S Vijaypur headed by Inspector Suraj Pathania, SHO Vijaypur under close supervision of Abhishek Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur had raided a locality at Vijaypur and arrested six gamblers namely, Heera Lal son of Ram Niwas, Sant Ram son of Mehter, Ghan Sham son of Gokul, Lakhan son of Nanki Tau, Mohan son of Bala Ram, Nand Kumar son of Jaru Ram all are residents of Chhattisgarh A/P Vijaypur and recovered stake money of Rs 6200/- along with playing cards from their possession. All of them were booked under Section 13 Gambling Act.
