12 injured as mini-bus turns turtle

JAMMU, Nov 8: Twelve passengers were injured today when their vehicle rolled down the road in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a Mini-bus bearing registration number JKO2Q-9246, which was on its way from Bala to Akhnoor turned turtle at Parsoti, this afternoon.
He said in the mishap, 12 persons were injured, which were rushed to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor, from where three seriously injured people were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for specialized treatment.
“Those referred to GMCH Jammu are Ashok Kumar (45) son of Tunda Ram, resident of Sohal (Akhnoor), Ratno Devi (45) wife of Omparkash, resident of Akhnoor and Seema Devi (35) wife of late Ashok Kumar, resident of Sungal”, the spokesman said, adding a case in this connection was registered at police station Akhnoor and investigations started.
