JAMMU, Nov 28: A Lok Adalat was held in the premises of District Court Complex Kathua under the chairmanship of Mohammad Akram Chowdhary, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua.
To settle the cases, two benches were constituted. The first bench comprised of Mohammad Akram Chowdhary, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua and Amarjeet Singh Langeh, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua, while the second bench comprised of Sikander Azam Choudhary, Additional District and Sessions Judge Kathua and Munish Kumar Manhas, District Mobile Magistrate Kathua.
A total of 12 cases were settled and award of Rs 11,30,000 have been also passed in favour of the petitioners.
