BHADERWAH, July 29: Continuing its tirade against timber smuggling a team of forest officials of Bhaderwah Forest Division and Forest Protection Force Doda unit seized 110 illegal deodar scants of different dimensions which was hidden in nearby fields by the timber mafia for quite long time but were not able to move it down due to the increased vigil by the Forest Department in Bhaderwah.
The search operations were carried during whole night and 110 pieces of deodar timber scants of different sizes were seized and brought down in forest complex Bhaderwah. T B Singh, DFO Bhaderwah Forest division, was monitoring the whole operation.
Some people tried to resist the seizure but were over powered by the strong contingent of FPF and Forest Department.
The seizure was made by MS Jamwal, RO Neeru, Haroon Khan, Incharge Forest Control Room, Bhaderwah Forest Division, Abdul Majid Inspector FPF Bhaderwah and other subordinate staff during search operations near Qilla Mohallah, Bhaderwah.
