11 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Mar 30: Eleven persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two persons identified as Gopal (29) son of Madan Lal and Naresh Kumar (22) son of Narayan Dass, both residents of Akhnoor, were injured when the bike on which they were travelling, was hit by a speeding car at Akhnoor.
A pedestrian namely Kusum (30) wife of Basant Ram, resident of MP (at present residing in Channi Himmat, Jammu), was hit and injured by a rashly driven car at Bhatinidi. A pedestrian was also hit and injured by a speeding bike at Jewel. The injured was identified as Neha Devi (25) wife of Vijay Kumar, resident of Thandi Khui (Samba). At Trikuta Nagar also, a pedestrian namely Chander (4) son of Dashrat, resident of Bihar (at present residing in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu) was hit and injured by a motorcycle.
A man identified as Amarpreet Singh (30) son of Didar Singh, resident of Bakshi Nagar, sustained injuries when a scooty on which he was going on, got slipped at Gandhi Nagar. A scooty also got slipped at Rajpura Chungi, causing injuries to a woman namely Simmi Devi (29) wife of Ramesh Gill, resident of Muthi, who was travelling on it.
Three persons were injured tonight when two trucks collided at Jagti (Nagrota) near Kashmiri Colony. The two injured were identified as Mukhtyar of Thathar (Bantalab) and Imtiyaz (28) while the identity of the third injured could not be identified. At New Plot, a young girl identified as Neha Sharma (24), daughter of Moti Lal, resident of Akhnoor, sustained injuries when a scooty collided with a bike.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
